What it must be like to be a child during this time

As someone that enjoyed working with children before this all happened, they have been on my mind a lot as I believe this is going to be even more difficult

These children may not understand why their schools are closed. or why they can no longer go to playgrounds, when I was out for a walk on Easter day I saw a very young child, who I would say wasn't any older than 2 probably younger desperately trying to get into a playground and being very upset at the fact they couldn't do that and that sight hit me, and that got thinking how difficult it must be for children at moment, as it's even difficult for us.

These children would have a new routine given them, and we know that a routine part of children's lives, and even though I'm sure it would have been explained to them well it is a hard concept to grasp.

I think especially the younger ones that are below school ages might find it hard as they might not have fully developed the concert of illness, referring back to my earlier point about the child trying to get into the playground on easter day, as mentioned these children may not have the concept of illness let alone disease that spreads rapidly and can take some peoples life, at least we know why as adults we are taking these precautions to slow the spread of the virus down and to protect those most at risk, and I wonder how much these children know that even though as I said earlier I'm sure it would have been explained to them by their parents.

These children might grow up remembering this time and over that time they develop more understanding of the situation itself and why these measures had to happen, And I hope they will not be affected by this situation growing up however there is a possibility that some of them will be.

Thank you for reading my thoughts, hope they find you well.
