Homelessness during the Pandemic

Another issue that I thought about during the pandemic is homeless people and how they might be affected during this time.
One thing I've wondered is how much homeless people are aware of the situation. A lot of them do not have access to technology from which we get most of the information so I wonder if they fully know what's going. One of the very few times I have gone shopping, someone had asked for spare change which I no longer carry around. I'm sure this is also the case for many other people.
Another thing is that these people do not have so may even be at more risk than the rest of us when some of these people might already be quite ill due to sleeping rough and little access to food and water.

While yes there are homeless shelters which I am sure are doing the best they can to help these people, living in a homeless shelter during this time is still a lot riskier than living in your own house and is difficult anyway. I also believe there are still a lot of people living on the streets who are even more at risk of not knowing what is going on. They might be finding it difficult to find support during this time and as mentioned earlier some of these people may be unsure as to why that is.
Some people that are homeless may be fully aware of what is going on but still, find it more difficult than the rest of us due to reasons mentioned above. As well, homeless shelters may have also be impacted by the situation maybe though money or needing to change the way then run which will then be hard on the people who stay there.
Once again thank you for reading my thoughts.
