This certainly isn't a good situation and is definitely not something anyone wants to happen. However if you look hard, there are some positives that have come from this.

A less divided country

Before anyone had heard of the coronavirus, the UK was heavily divided. That divide is lessening. There are people going out of their way to support people in need and coming together. One example of this is every Thursday night people joining in from across the country to clap for the NHS and key workers. I remember that before this time if you watched any government discussions, they would be full of arguments. Now you don't tend to see that that anymore.

A less polluted world

Now there is less traffic and less pollution, it has been said that in some places in China you can hear the birds for the first time and there are clear skies in some areas where there used be a thick fog. All other the world there is less population. Apparently the UK has manged to break the record for solar power generation due to a mixture of good weather and lower levels of pollution.

Less taken for granted

For myself at least I am learning not to take things for granted. In the past certain things that we are no longer able to do were taken for granted, such as doing what was considered everyday things like meeting friends and family. Being able to go outside whenever you wanted without worrying about it used to be a normal thing that was taken for granted. I would like to think once we have these things back, I will appreciate them more. I have even stopped taking the fact I have a garden where I live for granted, as I know there are so many people that don't have one.

Thank you for you reading again.
